How do I use email and iPhoto on the Mac?

You can choose between using Mac Mail and using Safari. With Mac Mail, you are copying or moving the mail from “the post office” to “your house.” With Safari, you are viewing the mail at “the post office.” Mac Mail has the advantage of being able to view email when you’re not connected to the Internet, but has the disadvantage of synchronization weirdness (e.g. I thought I deleted that). You already know, vaguely, how to use Mac Mail. Here is how to use Safari.

  1. Open Safari. Safari is a web browser.
  2. Go to Shaw Webmail. You can do this through the address bar with wm.shaw.ca, or through Google search with Shaw Webmail.
  3. Login. I.e. with your username and password.
